The data on the growth dynamics of natural spruce and birch regeneration on clear felled areas after chemical pre-drying (injection of herbicides) of aspen trees before cutting of the mature stand are presented. The positive effects of the removal of aspen trees and increasing competitive influence of birch of seed origin on the spruce regeneration were revealed.
