A. V. Kozharinov, P. V. Borisov Distribution of Oak Forests in Eastern Europe over the Latest Thirteen Thousand Years // Forest Science (Lesovedenie). 2012. No 5. С.22-28.

The study deals with the dynamics of oak forests in the territory of Eastern Europe within the latest 12500 years. The basic materials of the study are spore-pollen analysis charts converted in PALAEO database. As a result of the study, a series of maps reflecting the structure of oak forests with a 500-year time interval were plotted. Different structures of the paleohabitat of English oak (Quercus robur L.) were identified and described. Principal migration routes and refugium were identified (Volynskaya Upland, Podolskaya Upland, the southern portion of the Central Russian Upland and Privolzhskaya Upland, Meschera, and Kodry).
