I.N. Kutyavin Structure of Stands and Regrowth State in Old-Growth Pine Forests of the Ural Piedmont (the Upper Pechora River Basin) // Forest Science (Lesovedenie). 2013. No 1. С.46-55. The results of studying the composition and age structure of native pine tree stands of six types in the piedmont and plain territories in the southern part of the Pechoro-Ilychskii Biosphere Reserve (Republic of Komi) are presented. The regularities of the tree distribution by diameter, height, and age classes were revealed depending on the growth conditions. In the old-growth pine communities, conventionally and stepped uneven-aged stands develop. The forest regeneration in these forests is continuous.
