The dynamics of height and diameter increments were shown in 30-year-old model trees in provenance trial plantations. The maximum height increment in pine trees from northern regions was revealed at their age of 17-20 years; they continued to grow up to an age of 30 years. The pine posterity from southern parts of the range forms the maximum increment earlier by several years, but for a short time period.
