The results on the structure and composition of boreal coniferous forests in the Ket'-Chulym interfluve (Tomck region) that were obtained on 27 permanent test plots located under different edaphic conditions are presented. Based on comparing the spectra of ecological-cenotic groups of the ground cover, mature tree stands with the complex composition of the tree layer were typed. An ordination of the dark coniferous and Siberian pine forests by moisture and richness indices was made according the scale by Ramensky. The comparison of the forest inventory characteristics with quantitative environmental indices obtained from the plant cover allowed characterizing the relation of tree species to the factors of nutrient richness and moisture. Siberian pine is present in forests on various deposits and predominates in wet sites of stands of different age. The share of fir in the tree communities decreased as moisture increased, and the composition of the deposits, on which they grow, became coarser.
