G. A. Polyakova, P. N. Melankholin The Effect of Drought in 2010 on Grass-Dwarf Shrub Cover in Forests of Moscow Region // Forest Science (Lesovedenie). 2013. No 4. С.43-51.

Changes in the ground cover of green moss pine forests, multistoried pine forests, and broad-leaved forests related to the drought of 2010 were studied on sample plots placed in the city of Moscow and near Moscow region. The changes in the total projective coverage of the grass-dwarf shrub layer and species abundance were revealed. Some ferns, wood sorrel, and hazelwort were damaged to a greater extent; the last two species began to restore due to the appearance of abundant sprouting. Among rare species, some species of the family Orchidaceae, especially Neottianthe cucullata and Epipactis palustris, were disturbed most greatly.

Effect of drought and high temperature, changes in projective coverage, changes in abundance of plants in ground cover, restoration of ground cover..
