The indicators of the four natural woodlands dominated with pristine spruce forests were considered for 20-65 years period. The areal share of dominant wood species and age classes of the growing stock, as well as the average growing stock of the whole woodland and spruce forests were shown to be unsteady. Trend, rate and significance of the changes was found to be driven by the areal share of the stands of various phases of the cyclic age dynamics. The share is controlled by specificity of the site mosaics and regularity of disturbances, mainly windthrows.
