The thinning efficiency for middle aged pine stand in Krasnoyarsk forest-steppe is estimated. Dynamics of radial increment for trees of different rank after the thinning was studied. The increase in trees area of growth after thinning was revealed to have the effect on radial increment. The optimal parameters of stand thickness to maximize the yield were established.
