The dynamics of various populations of pine looper Buparus piniarius L. is analyzed. The pine looper populations from different locations in Europe and Asian part of Russia have been shown to have cyclic fluctuations of density at stable sparse state. The mathematical model simulating regulating processes in pine looper populations in stable sparse state have been proposed.
