The method to assess timeliness of detection and efficiency of suppression of large forest fires based on the complex analysis of their dynamics, meteorology data and resources involved is considered. The method have been realized using GIS-application ArcGIS, which allowed the analysis of dynamics of every fire during its development, reporting the results of an analysis in table, graphic (chart), and cartographic format.
