The history of the development of 160 200-year-old pine forests located at the eastern boundary of Moscow and changes in their composition since the late nineteenth century are analyzed. The current state of the forests and its dependence on the recreation intensity are described. The pine forests of the Alekseevskaya Roshcha differ from the other ones in the National Park "Losinyi Ostrov" by the maximal age and stem diameter, high radial increment, and satisfacroty sanitary state that enable to regard them as standard ones. Based on the data on anatomy, a forecast of stand stability is given. The forest stands of the Alekseevskaya Roshcha are emphasized to be of great scientific importance.
