Chubugina I. V., Sudachkova N. E., Prokushkin S. G. Growth and Metabolism Peculiarities of Larix gmelinii After Fire in Natural Undergrowth Closed Groups in Evenkia // Forest Science (Lesovedenie). 2010. No 4. P. 43-49 (in Russian).

Biometric parameters of 3- to 5-year-old Larix gmelinii (Rupr.) Rupr. trees from natural closed stands (2, 30, 50, 90 trees m 2) that have been formed after fire were assessed, and the reserves of nutrients in storage tissues were measured. An increase in the compotition between trees for abiotic environmental factors is shown to reduce their radial increment and xylogenesis of plants due to a decrease in the nutrients in their organs and tissues. The significant decrease in the total and protein nitrogen, free amino acids, starch, and fats contents in storage tissues of undergrowth trees with increasing the stand density was observed.

Phytocenotic stress, post fire regeneration, xylogenesis, storage compounds, starch, nitrogen compounds, Dahurian larch.
