Analysis of stable carbon and oxygen isotopes in tree rings of larch (Larix cajanderi Mayr) for the period of 1880-2004 was performed in the territory of northeastern Yakutia. The obtained data showed that there were significant relationships between the stable isotope ratios in tree rings and air temperature and precipitation, especially during the last fifty years. The correlation analysis did not reveal any relations between the tree ring width chronology and some climatic parameters. The results of this work testify to the importance to use stable isotope characteristics as a new complementary source of information about environmental (climatic) changes.

Larix cajanderi Мауr, content of δ 13С и δ18O in wood and cellulose, temperature, precipitation, air humidity deficiency.
