The results of cytogenetic study of pine seeds from steppe, forest-steppe zones
and piedmont sites in Altai krai are presented. Тhе high variability of the
mitosis disturbance in the root meristem of germs was found related to the place
and year of seed sampling and the rate of seed germination. А spectrum of
mutations also depends on the parameters mentioned.
