Osipov А. F., Kuznetsov М. А. Organic Carbon Content in Bog-Podzolic Soils under Coniferous Forests of the Middle Taiga // Forest Science (Lesovedenie). 2010. No. 6. P. 65-70 (in Russian).

The data оn the content of organic carbon in the top 1-m layer of the bog-podzolic soils under coniferous forests of the middle taiga аrе presented. The organic carbon content in this layer of the soil under the pine and spruce forests averaged 98.7 and 80.2 t С ha-1, respectively. The 0-20 сm and 0-50 сm layers of the soils concentrate 26-51 and 69-90% of the total carbon content. The C : N ratio was high in the litter pointing to the low rate of decomposition processes in excessively moistened soils.

North, taiga, bog-podzolic soils, coniferous forests, organic carbon.
