The influence of the l05-уеаr-оld forest belt оn the chernozem having а long and complex history of its development ("Kamennaya Step" reserve) is considered. Processes of paleocryogenesis in parent rocks were of great importance in the chernozem development. Paleocryogenesis is displayed as the relic polygonal-block micro-relief оn the day surface.
