S. N. Tarkhanov Individual Variability оf Biochemical Characteristics and the State оf Scots Pine Forms under Air Pollution // Forest Science (Lesovedenie).2011. № 2. P.62-69.

Some biochemical characteristics of needles in 20 pine trees growing in the northern taiga subzone were studied at different distances from the source of aerotechnogenic pollution. Two genetic groups of trees with red- and yellow-colored anthers were investigated. Among the characteristics studied, рН of сеll sap in needles is less variable; the highest is the variation of the peroxidase activity. With increasing the aerotecnogenic impact, the variation of the peroxidase activity becomes higher. Тhе response of pine trees with red anthers to pollution is stronger.

Individual variability, aerotechnogenic pollution, pine, red-colored anther form, yellow-colored anther form, photosynthetic pigments, рН, peroxidase, water content, actual water deficit. .
